Bush was in office. When President Obama redecorated the Oval Office he moved the Churchill Bust to the Treaty Room and a bust of Martin Luther King now sits in the Oval Office.

According to a Nov. 12 , 2016 article by NBC, there was a Twitter post by Nigel Farage, who was a key figure in the Brexit movement." Farage "met with President-elect Donald Trump Saturday —and said he raised the issue of returning a bust of Winston Churchill to the Oval Office."

President Elect Trump appeared to be very open to the idea.

After the meeting Farage tweeted, "Especially pleased at @realDonaldTrump's very positive reaction to idea that Sir Winston Churchill's bust should be put back in Oval Office."
