iRumorMill.com Determination: Real
The Republican lead House of Representatives voted for the fourth time to completely repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as ObamaCare. This according to a February 3, 2015 article by The Hill. The article said this time the repeal bill contained "instructions for several committees to replace the healthcare law with new policies."
The repeal passed by a vote of 239-186. All Democratic Reps in the chamber voted against the measure along with three GOP members of the House, Reps. Robert Dold (Ill.), John Katko (N.Y.) and Bruce Poliquin from the state of Maine.
In a related article, the Hill reported on February 4, 2015 that Republicans are planning to introduce "an alternative to ObamaCare that would scrap the law’s mandates while keeping the tax credits that help low-income people buy private insurance coverage."
The House released a 9 page document, which contained modifications to the ACA proposed by Reps. Hatch, Upton and Burr. The document said, "Under our plan, every American will be able to access a health plan, but no American is forced to have health insurance they do not want.”
One of the major criticism of the
Affordable Care Act is that the American tax payer is fined by the Internal
Revenue Service for not enrolling in Obamacare.
