ISIS Claimed Responsibility for Shooting at
Texas Muhammad Cartoon Contest
Reports that the Islamic terrorist organization,
ISIS, was behind the May 3rd shootings at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland,
a suburb near Dallas, during a contest that featured images of the Muslim
prophet Muhammad.

article by Fox News, "[the] Islamic State terror group (ISIS) Tuesday issued
a claim of responsibility for Sunday's attack on a Texas cartoon contest
featuring images of the Muslim prophet Muhammad."
The incident at the center began after Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi arrived on
the scene, drew weapons and wounded a security guard. The two shooters were shot
and killed by responding law enforcement officers.
Shortly before the shooting, a
tweet with the hashtag #texasattack was posted by Simpson that said, "May Allah
accept us as mujahideen."
Fox reported that "the claim was
made in an audio message on the group's Al Bayan radio station, based in the
Syria city of Raqqa," but has yet to be confirmed by the Obama Administration.
