"Thanks to his state’s vague election rules on candidate ages, Mr. Bergeson, a 16-year-old high-school student from Wichita, has thrown his hat in the ring to run for his state’s highest office." This according to an Aug 11, 2017 article by Fox News, which said the young candidate "signed papers that allow him to start raising money for his campaign," just like all major candidates running for office.
Fox reported Bergeson and 17-year-old running mate Alexander Cline, "are seeking the Democratic Party nomination, have known each other since seventh grade."
Bergeson recently appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel program and video was found on YouTube:
