iRumorMill.com Determination: Investigating
On March 4, 2016 President Donald Trump released a message on his Twitter feed which alleged President Barack has Trump Tower wired tapped just prior to the November election.
According to a March , 2016 article by CNN, "The President went on to compare the alleged tapping of his phones to Watergate and called Obama 'bad (or sick).'" CNN went on to say "A spokesman for Obama, Kevin Lewis, called 'any suggestion' that Obama or any White House official ordered surveillance against Trump 'simply false.'"
On March 20, FBI Director James Comey appeared before a Congressional panel and admitted that the Bureau was looking into allegations of Russian tampering of the 2016 Presidential election but denied that his departments involvement in any wiretapping of Trump Tower.

On March 22, 2017 House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) told members of the press that he was "notified that Trump team communications have been 'incidentally,' legally collected." This according to an article published that day by NBC News.
