iRumorMill.com Determination: Real But Policy Later Reversed
Disney planned to continue processing payments from annual pass holders, even though the park was closed after California was placed under a state wide "stay at home" order. This according to the official Disney website, which said the company would extend the expiration date of each pass to coincide with the time the parks are closed.
The policy was later reversed, according to an April 2, 2020 article by the Orange County Register. The article said, "Disneyland will halt annual pass payments for passholders who have paid for a full year and those on the monthly payment plan while the Anaheim theme park remains closed amid the COVID-19 pandemic."
This change of heart by the Magic Kingdom was sparked a large number of calls by outraged pass holders. some who threatened to cancel their membership.
