The photos are real and can be viewed on Google Maps.
According to a May 3, 2011 news release by the Offutt Air Force Base Pubic Affairs department, "[every] year, a message appears in local fields near Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., for Airmen to read as they fly overhead." The article said that two fields have been used to communicate the community's support for the military and that in 2011 one message read, "You Make America Proud!"
