Viral reports of the death of progressive rocker Greg Lake.

The reports are real, according to an official notice on Greg Lake's website.

Lake, 69, who died after a lengthy battle with cancer, was a member of King Crimson, Emerson, Lake and Palmer and Asia.

Nine months earlier, former band mate, Keith Emerson, died after a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head in Los Angeles.
