Comedian Jeff Foxworthy could not say "no" when the "The Atlanta Mission asked him to lead bible study for its homeless men eight years ago." This according to an article released by 11Alive, WXIA-TV, the NBC affiliate in Atlanta, GA.
Foxworthy opened up to interviewers about the request, "I'm like, there's six million people in Atlanta and you can't find anybody more qualified for this than me?" They comedian took a step in faith, said "yes," and let God take care of the rest.
Foxworthy said that he dealt with
"pain in his own life, but nothing like this." At the Atlanta Mission, "he was
leading bible study for some incredibly wounded people." The comedian
said, "I didn't know what I was doing. I didn't know anybody in my group. It was
me and 12 strangers who'd been living under bridges."
