iRumorMill.com Determination: Real
According to a December 23, 2014 article by TMZ there was a charity event at an Elks Lodge in Glendale, CA where the lyrics of "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" were changed to make a parody of Ferguson's Michael Brown. The event was attended by several retired and current members of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
The gathering was the finale of a
charity golf event that was organized by retired LAPD Officer Joe Myers, who
served 32 years in the LAPD. A spokesperson for the Elks Lodge told reporters
that the event was not an Elks sponsored event and they are investigating the
incident.
