iRumorMill.com Determination: Real
The statement was made by actor Samuel L. Jackson after the 2012 shootings at an elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut. This according to a December 16, 2012 article by the Los Angeles Times.
Graphics of the actor with this quote often pop up on social media, like Facebook, shortly after shootings are reported by the news.
Many blame violence in the media to our modern day dilemma of violent incidents at the work place and in public.
The article said, "Jackson waved aside the idea that on-screen violence has an influence on someone who decides to behave violently in real life."
Jackson told reporters, "I don't think movies or video games have anything to do with it."
