iRumorMill.com Determination: Hoax
The source of this iRumor is a satirical website called World News Daily Report, which should not be taken seriously.
The World News Daily Report (WNDR) said Juan Pedro Ramos (31) was brought into Carlos III hospital after presenting symptoms of anaphylaxis. Prior to the incident Ramos ate "some recently developed tomatoes containing fish genes, which provoked a violent and lethal allergic reaction."
The iRumor was
also debunked by the international news website Inquisitor, which cited in a
March 5, 2015
article, the lack of legitimate sources linked within the WNDR article about
the death of Ramos and called this an "urban legend set into motion by a
satirical news site."
